How to get a Twitter SMS verification

What is Twitter?

Twitter is a social networking site that enables users to communicate with their followers by sending them quick messages known as tweets. Text, photos, videos, links, and other stuff can all be found in these tweets. Users have the option of following other users, and when they do, their timeline—a chronological feed of tweets from the folks they follow—begins to display their tweets. By Jack Dorsey, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams in March 2006, Twitter was developed. That same year, in July, it was made available to the general public. As of 2021, Twitter had more than 330 million active users, making it one of the most widely used social media sites worldwide. Celebrities, politicians, businesses, and organisations use Twitter to exchange information, interact with followers, and keep up with news and trends.

Why should I not use my phone number for Twitter?

There are a few reasons why you might want to avoid using your phone number to sign up for Twitter:

  1. Privacy concerns: When you provide your phone number to Twitter, it can be used for a variety of purposes, including account verification and two-factor authentication. However, it can also be used for targeted advertising or shared with third-party companies. If you're concerned about your privacy, you may want to avoid providing your phone number to Twitter.
  2. Security risks: Although two-factor authentication (2FA) can be an effective way to secure your Twitter account, using your phone number for 2FA can also create security risks. For example, if someone gains access to your phone number, they may be able to reset your password or gain access to your account.
  3. Sim swapping: Another security risk associated with using your phone number for Twitter is the possibility of sim swapping. Sim swapping is a type of phone fraud where someone convinces your mobile carrier to transfer your phone number to a new SIM card, allowing them to gain access to your accounts.

In general, it's a good idea to limit the amount of personal information you share online and to take steps to protect your online accounts from unauthorised access. If you're concerned about the security or privacy implications of providing your phone number to Twitter, you may want to consider using an alternative method of account verification, such as using SMSPool SMS verification services.

Why didn’t I receive a SMS verification?

  • If your device/IP is reported for creating too many accounts, try another device or IP.
  • For spam, either the IP or you have been ghost banned.
  • The phone number is unrelated to where you live; for instance, a Russian phone number has a lower likelihood of working in the US than a US phone number.

To conclude
