How to disable pools on SMSPool

What are pools on SMSPool?

A pool is just a supplier's collection of phone numbers, each supplier has their own pool. Since each supplier uses their own infrastructure, the numbers often come from different carriers. That's why switching pools can make a difference if one isn't working well for a particular service. You might also need to use a specific pool like Foxtrot if a discount is applied to your account, since it's one of our own and we usually offer discounts for that specific pool.

Why should I disable certain pools?

If you're facing an issue with a certain pool e.g, a certain pool isn't receiving SMS, you may wish to disable that pool. You also may need to use a distinct pool, such as "Foxtrot," if we were to apply a discount to your account, since it's our own pool and we usually offer discounts there.

How do I disable certain pools?

1. Click the cog icon on the top right of SMSPool, which is also known as the "Settings" page
2. Click on the "Account Settings" menu
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the "Account Settings" page
4. You should see the "Disable pools" option
5. Click on the pool you wish to disable, e.g, Charlie, Oscar
6. Once you click the pool you want to disable, it should show "Pool has been disabled" in a green message box.
7. Scroll down to check if the pool you switched off is highlighted in Red; if it is, this was successful.
