Legal Requests at SMSPool.net

At SMSPool.net, we take privacy, security, and compliance seriously. We understand that, from time to time, government authorities or legal representatives may request information about our platform or its users. This page explains how SMSPool handles such legal requests and what procedures apply.

1. Overview

SMSPool.net provides temporary virtual phone numbers for verification and testing purposes. As a privacy-focused platform, we collect and retain only the minimal user data necessary for service functionality, security, and fraud prevention.

We recognize the importance of due process and comply with all valid legal requests issued in accordance with applicable laws and jurisdictions.

2. Types of Legal Requests We Accept

SMSPool.net accepts the following types of official legal requests:

Court orders or subpoenas

Law enforcement requests made under applicable legal authority

Regulatory or governmental agency requests in compliance with local laws

Civil requests issued through a valid legal process

We do not respond to informal requests (such as emails or social media messages) from individuals, private investigators, or entities lacking proper legal authority.

3. How to Submit a Legal Request

All legal requests should be submitted in English and must include the following details:

The requesting authorities name and contact information

The specific data or records requested

The legal basis for the request (e.g., statute, order, or court case)

The relevant time period or user identifier(s)

Proof of the requesters official authority

4. What Information May Be Available

Due to the nature of our service, SMSPool.net generally retains limited data. Depending on the users account activity, available information may include:

Account email (if registered), Transaction details (date, payment method), IP address logs (if applicable), Service usage data (phone number usage, timestamps).

5. International Legal Requests

SMSPool.net is headquartered in the Netherlands and operates under Dutch and EU law. For legal requests originating outside of the EU, we may require that the request be made through Mutual Legal Assistance Treaties (MLAT) or other recognized international channels.

6. Emergency Requests

In cases involving imminent risk of serious harm, injury, or death, law enforcement agencies may submit emergency disclosure requests marked URGENT. These requests should include:

A clear description of the emergency

Specific data requested

A statement confirming that the information is necessary to prevent harm

7. Notification to Users

Where permitted by law, SMSPool.net will notify users before disclosing their information in response to a legal request. In some cases (e.g., government secrecy orders), we may be legally prohibited from providing notice.
